10. Canadian Woman Studies/les cahiers de la femme is a thematic journal. We publish only those manuscripts related to issue themes. Please see our list of proposed issues and calls for papers. It is not CWS/cf policy to publish reprints.

11. If the article is being submitted to other journals or magazines, please indicate this in your cover letter, and notify us immediately if the article is being considered for publication elsewhere.

Articles for every issue are reviewed by a guest editorial board comprised of academics and grassroots activists interested in the particular issue's theme. All articles are selected through a blind review process. Submissions from US and International writers are accepted.

CWS/cf reserves the right to edit manuscripts with respect to length and in conformity with our editorial guidelines; any substantive changes will be made only after consultation with the author. In order to make issues on a wide variety of feminist topics available to the largest possible community of women, CWS/cf has granted electronic rights to reproduce full-text articles published in CWS/cf on searchable CD-Rom databases primarily intended for use in schools and libraries to Ebsco Publishing, Gale Group, Micromedia Proquest, and The H.W. Wilson Company. The Author agrees that any royalties received from the sale of these databases will be used by Inanna Publications and Education Inc., (operating as Canadian Woman Studies/les cahiers de la femme), to further the mandate of the organization.

STYLEGUIDE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF POETRY

1. CWS/cf does not have any "official" guidelines for the submission of poetry. Poetry is evaluated and accepted by our Literary Editor. Although we do publish poems which do not correspond to an issue¹s theme, as CWS/cf is a thematic quarterly, preference is given to poetry directly related to the topic of an issue.

2. The suggested maximum number of poems which may be submitted for consideration per issue is five (5).

3. Please ensure all pages include complete contact information (name, address, telephone number, fax number and email). Also include a stamped, self-addressed 9" by 12" envelope.

4. All submissions should be accompanied by a brief biographical note as well.
